Randomization as a method of experimental control has been extensively used in clinical trials. Generating the randomization schedule has been an essential part of some trials. We discuss how to use SAS programming and SAS PROC PLAN to generate the randomization schedule. The issues related to randomization are also discussed. Case studies are used to illustrate the use of SAS programming and SAS PROC PLAN in generating randomization schedules. Keyword: Randomization Schedule, Clinical Trial, PROC PLAN
